Good Questions, Honest Answers

Everything Pasadena neighbors usually want to know before their first visit — and if we missed one, just call.

What areas around Pasadena do you serve?

We're based in Pasadena (77506) and cover about a 20-mile reach. That's the whole city, from North Pasadena, Pasadena Heights and Red Bluff Terrace to Golden Acres, the Spencer Highway and Fairmont Parkway subdivisions, and the newer neighborhoods near Armand Bayou, plus Deer Park, South Houston, La Porte, Shoreacres, Seabrook, Webster, Clear Lake and Galena Park. If you're close to that line, call and ask; for a longer list we can usually make it work.

Do you give free estimates?

Yes. Most jobs can be priced firmly off a handful of photos and a quick call. Bigger or trickier projects get a no-charge visit to look things over. Whichever route it takes, the number is settled before a date goes on the calendar.

Do you charge by the hour or by the job?

Where possible we quote a flat price for the job, so the cost is known before we begin. When a punch list is open-ended, we settle a rate and a rough scope with you first, so the total doesn't catch you off guard. When a job turns out quicker or easier than planned, you pay less, not more.

Are your pros licensed and insured?

Yes. The work is done by insured local pros who hold the licenses and registrations required in Texas for the job at hand, so electrical and plumbing connections are handled by licensed tradespeople. Ask us anything before we start.

What jobs do you take on?

We handle the everyday repair and upkeep list: drywall patches, door adjustments, TV and shelf mounting, furniture assembly, ceiling fans and light fixtures, dimmers and smart switches, faucet, toilet and disposal repairs and replacements, fence and gate fixes, gutter cleaning, pressure washing, paint touch-ups, garage storage, smart home devices and seasonal maintenance. Send everything on your list, even the tiny items, and we'll build a single visit around it.

Why do my doors stick and my walls crack every summer?

In Pasadena it's almost always the clay. The soil under most homes here swells when it's wet and shrinks when it dries, and the house moves a little with it, especially through a hot, dry August. That shows up as doors that rub or won't latch, diagonal cracks above door frames and nail pops in the drywall. We adjust and re-hang doors and repair cracks so they're less likely to reappear, and if the movement looks bigger than normal seasonal shifting, we'll tell you plainly that it's worth having the foundation looked at.

Can you help get my house ready for hurricane season?

Yes, and few visits pay off more. Before June we clean gutters and downspouts, check that downspouts carry water away from the slab, tighten loose fence panels and gate hardware, re-caulk gaps around windows and trim, secure loose exterior fixtures and look for spots where wind-driven rain is already getting in. It's far easier to do in April or May than in the week a storm is in the forecast.

Can I just text you a photo of the problem?

Please do. Snap one wide shot and one close-up, add a line about what's happening, and that's usually all we need to size up the job, often down to a firm price. Better still, it lets us bring the right parts the first time.

How do I schedule, and how far out are you booked?

Give us a call or use the contact form, with your address and a quick note about the work. We'll confirm a real time window, not an all-day wait, and let you know if we're running behind. Short jobs usually land on the calendar within a few days, while long lists can take a bit more lead time because we reserve enough hours to finish them in a single trip.

Got a list? Let's shorten it.

One quick call or text gets you a real price and a real arrival time — usually within the week.
